Jon Reddick is back with a new single - and the timing feels intentional.

The Gotee Records worship pastor and Dove Award-winner released "Holding On (Praise God)" on June 5, his first new music since his sophomore album No Fear earned him his first Christian Airplay No. 1. Anchored in Psalm 121, where King David declares that his help comes from the Lord, the song reframes surrender as strength - the battle, Reddick sings, is fought on our knees, and the victory was never ours to win alone.

On Facebook, Reddick described the heart behind the release simply: "This song is a reminder to lay down the burdens you were never meant to carry and trust the One who has been holding you all along. My prayer is that it points you back to where your strength and help truly come from."

The song opens as a confession of weakness and rises into something far greater - by the song's close, the struggle gives way to unrestrained praise, a repeated reminder that even when we let go, God never does. Its central lyric captures the whole thing in one line: "I'm holding onto God / Cause I know my God is holding onto me."

The new single arrives just days shy of the one-year anniversary of No Fear, Reddick's sophomore album on Gotee Records, which earned the worship pastor his first No. 1. Known for bridge-building across cultural and generational lines through music rooted in hope and redemption, Reddick continues to write songs that feel less like performances and more like prayers.

"Holding On (Praise God)" is available now on all major streaming platforms.
