Mauricio Ruffy had just delivered one of the biggest knockouts of his career. Instead of celebrating himself, he used the moment to point to Jesus - then proposed to his girlfriend in front of millions watching at home.

The Brazilian lightweight stopped veteran Michael Chandler in the first round at "UFC Freedom 250," a nationally televised event broadcast live on Paramount+.

The moment the referee waved off the fight, Ruffy stepped to the microphone and recited John 3:16 in full: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." He continued, "Jesus saved my life; he wants to save your life, too. Give your life to Jesus."

Ruffy didn't stop there. Turning to address the cameras directly, he shared that he had wanted to marry his girlfriend, Nadine, for some time but hadn't had the means to do so. "I love you," he said. "Would you marry me?" She said yes, and the moment quickly went viral across social media.

Following the win, Ruffy reinforced his message on social media, writing in Portuguese, "Jesus completely changed my story, and He has His arms open to transform yours too. Our greatest victory is not achieved by our own strength, but when we let Him take control of everything."

For a sport built on showcasing strength, Ruffy's night was a reminder that real strength, real love, and real victory all point somewhere beyond the cage.
