Hannah Harper's String Cheese Tour is picking up a familiar face for several stops this fall: Brad Paisley, the country star who mentored her during her run on American Idol.
Harper announced the news on Facebook, telling fans the pairing felt like a full-circle moment. She first crossed paths with Paisley in Hawaii, when he served as a mentor during her American Idol season, and she credited him with believing in her music and encouraging her from the very beginning.
Paisley will join Harper for six dates spanning late August through late September, starting August 27 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and continuing through Boston, Bangor, Wilkes-Barre, West Springfield, and Richmond.
Tickets for the dates are already available through Ticketmaster and individual venue sites.
The added stops come as Harper's String Cheese Tour continues its run through the fall, building on a breakout year that began when her original song "String Cheese" - written about motherhood and the postpartum depression she faced after the birth of her youngest child - went viral during her audition.
Harper has said her goal on every stage, no matter the song, remains the same: to encourage, to uplift, and to point people upward.
For an artist who has been open throughout her rise about wanting her music to glorify God first, sharing the stage with the mentor who helped launch her there adds another layer to a season already full of milestones.
