The night Christian music fans have been counting down to is finally here. Third Day takes the stage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre tonight, marking exactly 30 years since the release of their self-titled debut album on June 18, 1996.
All four original members - Mac Powell, Mark Lee, David Carr, and Tai Anderson - will perform together at the iconic Colorado venue, reuniting for career-defining hits that shaped a generation of Christian music fans.
The show was already stacked with special guests Michael W. Smith, Matt Maher, Brandon Heath, and Jon Reddick, and Red Rocks' own event listing now confirms one more name has joined the bill: worship artist and songwriter Ellie Holcomb.
The Red Rocks date was chosen deliberately. It lands on the exact 30th anniversary of Third Day's "bus record," the major-label debut that launched the band's career on Reunion Records and helped define an entire era of Christian rock.
Tickets for the show sold out shortly after going on sale, making it one of the most anticipated Christian music events of the year.
Tonight's concert caps a bigger celebration. Third Day's 30th Anniversary Tour, which reunited the original lineup for the first time in over a decade, launched in March and has crossed 30 cities, with GRAMMY-winning artist Zach Williams joining as a special guest on select dates along the way.
For fans who grew up on songs like "Consuming Fire," "Cry Out to Jesus," and "Thief," tonight isn't just a concert anniversary. It's a reminder that the music that shaped their faith is still being played by the people who wrote it.
