Grammy-nominated hip-hop producer Tay Keith, real name Brytavious Lakeith Chambers - was found dead Thursday afternoon at his Martin Street apartment in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 29.

Metro Nashville Police confirmed the death, stating that no foul play is suspected and that officers discovered his body while performing a welfare check.

The cause of death has not been determined, and authorities say the death will remain "unclassified" pending autopsy results.

Tay Keith rose to prominence as one of hip-hop's most sought-after producers, earning a Grammy nomination for his work on Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode."

He also co-produced Drake's "Nonstop," BlocBoy JB's "Look Alive," and contributed to Beyoncé's live album - all major commercial successes.

Fellow Memphis artists including BlocBoy JB, Hitkidd, and Jozzy shared tributes on social media following the news. BlocBoy JB posted a throwback photo of the two together with a heartfelt caption expressing grief over the loss.

Though known for secular hip-hop, Tay Keith had spoken publicly about his faith.
