Thomas Rhett's Pre-Tour Confession: Exhaustion, Grace, and a Verse He "Needed to Hear"

Thomas Rhett is being honest about what's been wearing him down - right before he steps back on stage.

In a video posted this week, the country star admitted he's been running on empty during a few weeks off the road, pointing to school schedules, sports schedules, and "the demands of everyday life." "About 7 o'clock, and if it looks like I'm tired, it's because I am," he said.

To reset, Rhett read the September 8th entry from Sarah Young's devotional Jesus Calling, which focuses on trusting God's sovereignty when life's demands feel bigger than personal strength. "I needed to hear that today so bad," he said.

The passage reminded him that exhaustion doesn't cancel out grace - believers aren't asked to carry the weight on their own strength. Rhett said the message hit home: no matter the circumstances, he can "constantly call on His name," and that same access to God, he added, is open to everyone.

He closed the video encouraging followers to remember that God walks with them "every single step of the way," and said he's been praying over fans as he heads back out.

That return starts tonight, September 10, when Rhett brings The Soundtrack to Life Tour to the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky - his first Louisville show in seven years - before heading to Columbus and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, this weekend.
