ITV has confirmed the new coaching line-up for The Voice UK Series 15 - and it answers the question Sir Tom Jones raised just days ago when he said the network had "fired" him from the show.
Cheryl and rapper Aitch will join the panel as new coaches, ITV announced Friday, sitting in the show's famous red chairs for the first time. They replace Jones, along with Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, who are exiting after this current series. Kelly Rowland and will.i.am remain on the panel, giving the show at least two familiar faces amid the shake-up.
Hosting duties are changing too. Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon will take over presenting from Emma Willis, who is leaving to front the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. ITV thanked Willis, Fletcher and Jones for their contributions and said filming on the new series began this past Friday.
As for Sir Tom Jones, ITV left the door open. The network said it "continues to talk to Sir Tom and his team about his involvement in the next series," even as he steps back from a full-time coaching role after more than a decade on the show.
Amid the reshuffle, Rowland's presence on the panel carries its own quiet significance. The Destiny's Child singer has spoken often about how her Christian faith - not just religion, she's said, but a personal relationship with God - has carried her through the highs and lows of an unpredictable industry, something that may resonate as she becomes one of The Voice UK's steadiest fixtures.
ITV has not announced a premiere date for Series 15.
