Worship leader Erik Nieder has released a new version of his song "Praise You All The Same," this time featuring fellow Fair Trade Services artist Hope Darst - giving new voice to a track originally written as a prayer over his young daughter's medical journey.
Nieder first released "Praise You All The Same" in June, writing the song from Job 1:21 - "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised" - as a declaration of trust during his daughter Chancey Grace's ongoing treatment for clubbed feet, a condition that has required multiple surgeries since her birth. "What started as a simple prayer for my little girl has turned into an anthem of praise and a reminder of the Lord's faithfulness in every season," Nieder shared.
Darst, who's been nominated for three GMA Dove Awards and scored a top-10 Christian radio hit with "Peace Be Still," joined Nieder in the studio for the new version. "It took about five mins of her singing in studio to realize this was not merely a version of the song, but THE version of the song," Nieder said. "I've been a fan of Hope for a number of years now, and it was truly an honor to have her join me on this song that means so much to me and my family."
The new recording of "Praise You All The Same" is available now on all major streaming platforms.
