Prince William and Prince Harry each wrote to this year's Diana Award winners, and the charity is the one cause both brothers still publicly back.
The Diana Award said on Wednesday, Nov. 4, that 198 young people from 44 countries were honored at its 2026 virtual ceremony for creating positive change in their communities. According to People, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex sent their letters separately.
It is the Diana Award, the only charity set up in the name of their late mother, Princess Diana, and the only one the estranged brothers both support. Diana died at 36 on Aug. 31, 1997.
Who are the 2026 winners?
The recipients include 23 young people from the United States, 49 from India and 25 from Nigeria. Nine countries were recognized for the first time, including Ukraine and Mongolia. Chief executive Dr. Tessy Ojo said the winners show that "the desire to make a difference is universal."
No reconciliation has been announced. Reports say the brothers remain out of contact. Their last joint engagement was the 2021 unveiling of Diana's statue at Kensington Palace. Next year marks 30 years since Diana's death.
