The Hollywood Hills estate once purchased by Katy Perry and Russell Brand is being offered for $275,000 a month, as newly released police footage brings renewed attention to the criminal case against the comedian who has publicly embraced Christianity.
Known as Park Hill Estate, the gated property occupies three acres above the Sunset Strip, with views stretching across Los Angeles toward the Pacific Ocean. The advertised rent would amount to $3.3 million over a full year.
Perry and Brand bought the estate for $6.5 million in 2011 but reportedly never moved in. According to the California Post, Perry used the grounds as a wellness retreat. The property later passed to hotelier Lorenzo Doumani, who extensively renovated it.
The approximately 17,000-square-foot compound now features nine bedrooms across a main residence, two-story pool house and separate casita. Amenities include an infinity-edge pool, spa, pickleball court, private theatre, gym, cold plunge, infrared sauna and steam room. Expansive terraces and an outdoor kitchen provide space for entertaining above the city.
Meanwhile, London's Metropolitan Police have released footage of Brand being questioned during the investigation into allegations of sexual violence.
According to Page Six, a July 2025 interview shows Brand wearing a green jacket over a white shirt as an investigator reads a woman's account alleging that he removed a condom before raping her. Brand appears expressionless in the footage and responds: "I have nothing further to add at this time."
The footage was released following the November 5 verdict at Southwark Crown Court. A jury found Brand, 51, guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault. He was acquitted of two other rape charges and one charge of attempted indecent assault. Brand had denied the allegations and maintained that his sexual encounters were consensual.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that he is scheduled to be sentenced on November 9.
The case has unfolded during Brand's public conversion to Christianity. On April 28, 2024, he was baptised in the River Thames after spending several months discussing his interest in the Christian faith. Announcing the baptism afterward, he described the experience as profound and told followers: "I'm so grateful to be surrendered in Christ."
Adventurer and fellow Christian Bear Grylls participated in the baptism. Grylls later explained his support for Brand by referring to his Christian commitment to love others and stand beside people during difficult times.
Brand's statements about baptism and spiritual change are part of his public account of his faith. The jury's verdict concerns offences that the Metropolitan Police say were committed against four women between 2004 and 2009, years before that baptism.
