Award-winning singer-songwriter Ellie Holcomb has announced her fifth studio album, Flowers For No Reason, scheduled for release on April 2, 2027, through Capitol Christian Music Group. Alongside the announcement, Holcomb has released a new single, "Waterfalling," an uplifting song encouraging listeners to surrender their worries and trust in God's unfailing love.
The forthcoming album is now available for pre-order, while "Waterfalling" is streaming on digital music platforms. Holcomb describes the song as an invitation to embrace childlike faith and place complete trust in God's care.
Produced by longtime friend and collaborator Cason Cooley, Flowers For No Reason reflects a season of renewed joy, wonder, and hope in Holcomb's musical journey. Following her deeply personal 2025 album, Far Country, which explored God's presence through seasons of grief, the new collection takes a brighter direction through folk-pop melodies and Scripture-rooted songwriting.
The album explores themes of creation, rest, and the assurance of being loved by God without having to earn that love. Its title track, released last month, celebrates the ways God's love can be seen through nature and the everyday blessings surrounding us.
Holcomb describes Flowers For No Reason as an invitation to rediscover the freedom and wonder that come from understanding one's identity as God's beloved.
