Spiritual Soul artist Bryan Andrew Wilson has released a new rendition of the Christmas classic "O Holy Night," featuring legendary entertainer Lola Falana. The recording brings together Gospel, soul, and orchestral elements in a heartfelt celebration of the birth of Jesus, offering listeners a fresh interpretation of the beloved holiday hymn.
The single arrives ahead of Wilson's forthcoming Christmas album, Is It Christmas Yet?, a 10-track collection featuring a blend of Gospel Blues, Retro Soul, and New Orleans Jazz. Produced by Nelson Braxton of the jazz duo Braxton Brothers, the new recording is available on major streaming platforms in both Stereo and Dolby Atmos formats.
The arrangement opens with Latin-inspired acoustic guitar from Braxton, who has previously collaborated with artists including Sheila E. and Michael Bolton. Wilson begins with a mellow tenor performance before Falana makes a special return to the recording spotlight after more than three decades away from performing.
The former Queen of Las Vegas delivers a passionate spoken-word segment reflecting on the birth of Jesus, adding a distinctive and deeply personal dimension to the song. The arrangement then builds into an orchestral backdrop, with Wilson's increasingly powerful vocals supported by a choir before concluding with an uplifting Gospel finish.
The upcoming Is It Christmas Yet? album will also feature an impressive lineup of guest musicians and vocalists, including Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band of New Orleans, Gospel artist Darrel Walls, Gospel legend Dorothy Norwood, cellist Yoed Nir, and acclaimed choral group Roderick Giles & Grace.
