Sam Wesley, the oldest son of MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard, has released a new single called "Shelter." Wesley announced the release on Facebook, encouraging fans to stream and share it, and called it "a fun one."
The single is listed with a Nov. 6, 2026 release date. It is available on streaming platforms.
Wesley, whose full name is Sam Millard, first reached Christian music audiences in 2021 as a guest vocalist on MercyMe's "On Our Way." He also co-wrote that song, which reached No. 14 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. He has also co-written songs with his father on MercyMe's later albums.
Earlier this year, Wesley made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Feb. 13, performing his song "Living Water." He is also part of the story told in I Can Only Imagine 2, the sequel to the film about his father's life, which opened Feb. 20.
"Shelter" is out now on streaming services.
