Attack on Titan Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers, Reveals and Rumors: Release Date not Confirmed yet Because Wit Studios yet to Begin Project
The release date for the second installment of Attack on Titan season 2 has been suggested for August 2015, though this is still in doubt because previous reports suggested that it would be in July and we all know how that went. There is some good news for the fans though. Apparently, there will be an anime series, live action movie and spin off that is going to prequel the main story. The rumors about the release date for the second installment began from Otako House, which is a Singapore based online shop.
This news went on to social media but luckily for everyone iDigitalTimes which clarified the reports with Wit Studios and apparently, they have not yet begun on the second season. As such, there is no way that a firm date has been set for the release. According to some reports as well season 1 was able to cover quite a substantial portion of the manga series. That could in turn translate to the second installment being pushed forward a little while, which in turn gives more reason to disregard the reports of the August release next year. The anime series is based on a manga which was written by Hajime Isayama who apparently had an encounter with a drunken man that led him to write 'Attack on Titan'.
The Television Show adaptation first aired on 7th April 2013 and then it ended soon after in September 28th 2013. Obviously the show got quite a bit of followers who are currently waiting for the release of the second installment. According to Attack on Titan mange editor, Shintaro Kawakubo, the hit series will take at least 3 to 5 years to come to a conclusion. He also added, "The serialization is slated to end in three to four years, but 'Attack on Titan' is a work that will be passed down from generation to generation for a decade -- no, five decades,".
