Lauryn Hill is set to perform at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 1, 2026, where she will honor late music legends D'Angelo and Roberta Flack during the show's In Memoriam tribute segment. The Recording Academy officially announced Hill's participation in this year's tribute lineup.

The ceremony, broadcast live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS and Paramount+, will include a wide range of performances - but Hill's appearance is expected to stand out for its emotional weight and legacy impact.

For many fans, the performance also echoes Hill's early connection to faith and music. In 1993, she starred in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit as Rita Louise Watson, a rebellious teen with a powerful voice who eventually leads a gospel-infused choir to national recognition. Her moving rendition of "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" in the film remains a defining moment in her early career and introduced audiences to her vocal depth and spiritual sensibility.

Hill's connection to the artists she's honoring runs deep. Her group, the Fugees, famously reimagined Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly with His Song" in 1996, earning a Grammy and critical acclaim. She also collaborated with D'Angelo on her song "Nothing Even Matters," a standout track from her landmark solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Though she hasn't released a full solo album in over two decades, Hill's presence at the Grammys remains significant - especially in a tribute that honors artistry, soul, and the kind of spiritual resonance that has always defined her work.

Other performers scheduled for the night include Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and rising stars among the Best New Artist nominees.
