As tensions rise in the Middle East following the recent conflict involving Iran, many believers are asking the same question: Is this Bible prophecy unfolding in real time?
Pastor Greg Laurie is urging Christians to slow down - and look at Scripture carefully.
Addressing the growing speculation, Laurie acknowledged that Ezekiel 38 mentions "Persia," a nation many Bible teachers identify as modern-day Iran, as part of a future coalition against Israel. With war headlines dominating news cycles, it's not surprising that some believers are connecting the dots.
But Laurie offered an important reminder: while the Bible speaks about future events, it does not give a date for Christ's return.
"Scripture tells us to be ready," Laurie emphasized, "but it doesn't tell us when."
Rather than fueling end-times panic, the Harvest pastor encouraged Christians to focus on what they can control - their spiritual readiness and their witness.
"The right response isn't panic," he said, "but prayer, faith, and getting the gospel to as many people as possible."
Laurie stressed that wars, rumors of wars, and global unrest have marked every generation. While believers should remain watchful, he warned against date-setting or reacting in fear.
Only Christ, he reminded listeners, can bring lasting peace - not political leaders, military strength, or international treaties.
As speculation spreads online and prophecy discussions trend across social media, Laurie's message stands out for its calm clarity: stay grounded, stay prayerful, and stay focused on the Gospel.
In uncertain times, he suggests, the Church's mission remains the same.
Not panic.
Not prediction.
But proclamation.
