Award-winning singer-songwriter Jason Mraz-best known for global hits like I'm Yours and I Won't Give Up, as well as his Grammy-winning, genre-blending career spanning pop, folk, and soul-has announced a deeply personal new project, Grandma's Gospel Favorites, set for release on May 8, 2026.

Inspired by a simple yet heartfelt request from his grandmother, the album carries a story that stretches back nearly two decades, with Mraz revealing that the project was originally recorded in 2007 as a gift for his beloved grandmother, Mary Helen "Nanny Raz" Mraz-Fowler.

Now, for the first time, those recordings will be shared with the world.

Blending timeless gospel classics with Mraz's signature acoustic warmth and sincerity, Grandma's Gospel Favorites features beloved hymns such as "The Old Rugged Cross," "His Eye Is On The Sparrow," and "It Is No Secret," alongside two original songs, "Peach Pie" and "When We Die (You Are Loved)," offering a personal reflection on faith, family, and legacy.

Rooted in stripped-back arrangements and organic instrumentation, the album leans into a front-porch, bluegrass-tinged sound that honors the tradition of gospel music while remaining unmistakably Mraz.

The release is timed just ahead of Mother's Day, underscoring the project's generational and familial heart, as a grandson's musical offering becomes a wider invitation for listeners to reconnect with songs that have shaped faith communities for generations.

With Grandma's Gospel Favorites, Mraz delivers one of his most intimate and spiritually resonant works to date-an album born not out of industry trends, but out of love, memory, and a promise fulfilled.

Grandma's Gospel Favorites will be available on all major streaming platforms on May 8. Pre-orders and pre-saves are available now.
