Taylor Swift's new Toy Story 5 song didn't just arrive - it made history.
"I Knew It, I Knew You," released June 5 through Walt Disney Records, shattered streaming records across every major platform within its first 24 hours. Spotify confirmed the track became the most-streamed country song in a single day by a female artist in the platform's history.
Apple Music announced it set the service's all-time record for the biggest soundtrack single by first-day streams and became the platform's biggest country song debut of 2026. Amazon Music added that it posted the largest 24-hour streaming debut globally for any song on the platform this year.
Written and produced with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, the track draws from Swift's early country sound - recalling her self-titled debut and Fearless - and was written specifically around Jessie's journey through the Toy Story franchise.
A music video spotlighting the beloved cowgirl character is now available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Swift described writing the song as "a musical departure and a coming home at the same time," noting that being a Toy Story fan since age five made the project feel both challenging and completely natural.
For a generation raised on stories about loyalty, courage, and being there for the people you love, it's fitting that Swift's return to country sounds like something you've always known - and needed to hear again.
Toy Story 5 opens in theaters June 19 via Disney and Pixar. "I Knew It, I Knew You" is streaming now on all major platforms.
