Country music's biggest star right now just gave fans a quiet, stunning moment - and the woman who wrote the song noticed.
On June 10, Ella Langley posted a TikTok video of herself seated at a piano, performing a heartfelt cover of Shania Twain's beloved 1998 ballad "You're Still the One," captioning the clip simply: "I'll never get over this song."
The video has since surpassed three million views on TikTok, with more than 565,000 likes.
And then Shania herself walked into the comments.
Twain responded with warmth, writing: "So flattered Loved getting to connect at ACMs."
The two had crossed paths just weeks earlier when Twain hosted the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas - the same night Langley made history. The Alabama native swept all seven categories she was nominated for, closing her acceptance speech by thanking Jesus Christ with tears in her eyes: "Thank you Jesus for letting me do this for a living."
Her chart-topping single "Choosin' Texas" has now logged 28 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. She is currently headlining her Dandelion Tour across arenas this summer.
Twain co-wrote "You're Still the One" with her then-husband Robert "Mutt" Lange. Released in 1998, it earned two Grammy Awards - for Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
For a singer who has never hidden her faith - Ella Langley is known for being very open about her Christian beliefs - there is something fitting about choosing a song built on enduring, faithful love. She did not just cover a classic. She reminded three million people why it matters.
