Country star Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, are calling it quits after more than five years of marriage, ending one of country music's most beloved love stories.
The couple confirmed their split on Friday (July 3) in a joint statement, revealing they are committed to putting their two young daughters-three-year-old Presley and nearly two-year-old Sienna-first as they begin a new chapter as co-parents.
"After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage," the pair shared. "Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents."
They also thanked fans for their support and asked for privacy during the transition.
While the announcement came this week, court records show the separation had already been underway. Summer reportedly filed for divorce in May, with documents indicating Jon was served shortly afterward.
Adding another emotional layer to the announcement, Pardi revealed he is stepping away from social media to focus on healing and spending time with his family.
"I'll see you at the shows," he told fans in a brief Instagram Stories message, signaling that his upcoming tour dates will continue as scheduled.
The breakup comes as a surprise to many fans, especially after Pardi publicly celebrated Summer on Mother's Day just weeks ago, calling her "Super Mom."
Their romance had long been viewed as one of country music's happiest love stories. The couple first met in 2017 after being introduced through mutual friends, and Summer famously recalled knowing almost instantly that Pardi was the one.
"Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over for me," she previously told People. "I texted my mom, 'Sell my house, sell my car, send my dog.'"
Pardi proposed during a performance at Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium in 2019, and the couple married in November 2020 before welcoming daughters Presley in 2023 and Sienna in 2024.
As Pardi prepares to return to the stage next week, fans are already flooding social media with messages of encouragement, hoping the singer finds peace while navigating one of the most difficult seasons of his personal life.
