Bunnie XO is setting the record straight after her Fourth of July kiss with reality TV personality Dylan Wolf sent social media into a frenzy.
The podcast host addressed the now-viral moment on a recent episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, insisting the public display of affection wasn't intended to shock fans, even if she admits it became a lesson in living life under the spotlight.
"Anybody that really knows me and that really pays attention to the pod is like, she said she was gonna do this," Bunnie explained. "Granted, would I have done it as public as I did it? No. OK. That was a lesson learned."
The kiss took place on the rooftop of Goodnight Nashville over the Fourth of July weekend, just weeks after news broke that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie XO on May 18 following nearly a decade of marriage.
While many online accused her of moving on too quickly, Bunnie revealed that fans have only seen a small part of what she's endured behind the scenes.
According to the podcast host, she'd spent more than two months isolated in what she described as "purgatory," struggling to process the end of her marriage.
"There was times where I was on the floor screaming, crying because I could not understand what the f--k was going on," she admitted.
Bunnie also revealed the emotional toll became so severe that she stopped eating and drinking, saying there were moments she feared she might need to be hospitalized.
"I couldn't even stand up because I was so f--king devastated," she said.
Now, Bunnie says she's choosing to "heal out loud" by openly sharing her experiences with other women navigating heartbreak and divorce.
She also pushed back against criticism suggesting divorced women should disappear from public life while grieving.
"I think people after divorce, they want you to lay down and die," she said, adding that she refuses to let the end of her marriage define her future.
Although the fireworks kiss sparked headlines, Bunnie emphasized that she's still working through one of the most difficult seasons of her life and doesn't want her divorce to become "my entire personality."
The highly publicized split between Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll continues to draw attention from fans, but Bunnie's latest comments make it clear she's focused less on public opinion and more on finding a path forward.
