Christy Nockels Announces ‘God Rest You Merry,’ Shares First Listen Ahead of November 13 Release

Christy Nockels is welcoming the Christmas season with new music and an invitation to find courage in Christ. The worship artist has announced that her new Christmas album, God Rest You Merry, will arrive November 13, with an early preview of its opening track coming through her podcast.

In a message shared on Instagram, Nockels expressed her excitement about accompanying listeners through the autumn and holiday season.

"It is such a joy to get to journey with you this fall, and through the Holiday season!" she wrote. "AND, today you will be the first to HEAR SOME NEW MUSIC!"

Nockels said the opening track would appear at the end of the episode, giving listeners an introduction to the forthcoming collection. The November 13 release date is also promoted in recent episode notes for her Glorious in the Mundane podcast.

Alongside the musical preview, the episode turns to two Gospel accounts of storms that Jesus' disciples encountered. Nockels explained that these stories offer a way to consider how believers can seek spiritual clarity when their own circumstances feel uncertain.

Her encouragement centres on Jesus' presence through difficulty, connecting the disciples' experiences with the fears and pressures listeners face.

"I pray that you are deeply encouraged that, whatever the storm, Jesus is with you, giving you the courage you need to 'hold fast and stay true!'" she shared.

The announcement brings together two familiar parts of Nockels' ministry: music for worship and reflection on faith in everyday life. Her official music catalogue includes the Christmas projects The Thrill of Hope and The Thrill of Hope Renewed, providing a seasonal backdrop to the forthcoming release.
