Alan Ritchson's revenge thriller Motor City began streaming on AMC+ in the U.S. on Friday, Nov. 6, giving fans a subscription option after months of theatrical and digital rental. It arrives months after his faith-based drama Ordinary Angels reached No. 1 on Netflix's U.S. chart.

Set in 1970s Detroit, the film follows John Miller (Ritchson), a man framed for a crime he did not commit. After prison, he goes after the gangster who ruined his life. Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, and Pablo Schreiber co-star, and Potsy Ponciroli directed. The film tells its story mostly through movement, sound, and music rather than dialogue.

Motor City premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2025, reached U.S. theaters July 24, 2026, and hit digital platforms Aug. 25. Search interest in "Alan Ritchson Motor City streaming" jumped sharply over the past day, per Google Trends.

Parents and church groups should know the film is rated R, listed as TV-MA on AMC+, and is a violent revenge story.

Many in the faith community know Ritchson from a very different film. In Ordinary Angels (2024), he plays widowed father Ed Schmitt, whose critically ill daughter is helped by hairdresser Sharon Stevens (Hilary Swank) and a rallying community. The true-story drama topped Netflix's U.S. chart in July, according to Collider.

Ritchson has spoken openly about his Christian faith. According to Movieguide, he sees roles in both faith-based and secular projects as a chance to raise questions that can lead audiences closer to God.

Motor City is streaming now on AMC+ in the U.S.
