Destiny Game Update: an Unexpected PC Version? A New Patch for Your Loot Cave Experience

Bungie hasn't released the PC version of the game Destiny, and it is probable that the company has no intention of ever doing so.

Yet, there is said to be another way to enjoy the shooting game. Daniel Rosas and Unity built a special PC loot cave called "Interactive Cave Shooting Simulator". You can pretty much enjoy a similar game play as the console version.

As for the game play, it is fairly simple. The player endlessly shoots into a distant cave in order to find special items. The Simulator version will allow you to do the same. You just have to aim towards the cave until different colors of Engrams come out. You will also level up as time passes time.

The only difference between the PC simulator version and the original Destiny version is that the Cryptarch turns your Engrams into weapons or armor.

Eric Osborne of Bungie said in last November, "We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money, but what we have to do is make sure we're focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on. What we 100 percent are not going to do is spread ourselves too thin that it negatively harms the other platforms. So right now we have the four platforms, which is a lot to focus on".

There is also the new patch for the game. Patch 1.0.2 will allow Purple Engrams to produce Legendary quality items or higher. Blue Engrams will be able to produce Rare quality items or higher, while the chance for purple Engrams increase.
