Weekend 1 set the bar. Weekend 2 cleared it.
Coachella's second weekend is already delivering some of the festival's biggest moments of 2026 - and Sunday night with Karol G still hasn't happened yet. Here's everything that went down Friday and Saturday in Indio, California.
Friday: Sabrina Carpenter Brings Out Madonna
Sabrina Carpenter returned with her full "Sabrinawood" production for a second headlining Friday set - but this time with 10 extra minutes that fans quickly figured out meant one thing.
They were right. Madonna walked out to join Carpenter mid-set, the two performing "Vogue" together before debuting an unreleased track called "I Feel Free." The crowd reaction was instant and deafening. Terry Crews also made a cameo during Carpenter's costume change, taking over the stage and leading the crowd in a full sing-along to Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles."
It was a torch-passing moment between two generations of pop - and the internet could not stop talking about it.
Saturday: Bieber Came Back - With Receipts
Justin Bieber returned Saturday night with something to prove after critics panned his Weekend 1 set as "lazy" and a "snoozefest." He answered with guests.
Over 90 minutes, Bieber brought out Sexyy Red, Billie Eilish, and Big Sean in back-to-back appearances. It came on the back of a record-breaking streaming week - Bieber hit No. 1 on Spotify's Global Top Artist chart with over 100 million streams in a single day following Weekend 1. He closed the night solo on "Daisies" before fireworks lit up the desert sky.
Earlier in the afternoon, Kacey Musgraves - a surprise last-minute addition to the lineup - made her first Coachella appearance since 2019, riding onto the stage on horseback.
Addison Rae delivered her set and brought out Olivia Rodrigo for the live debut of "drop dead" - a single that had only been out for 24 hours. Giveon brought out Snoop Dogg. Sombr brought out Billy Idol. Saturday was relentless.
Sunday Tonight: Karol G Closes It Out
Karol G headlines Sunday night to close Coachella 2026 - making history as the first Latina artist to headline the festival. She's expected to be joined by Young Thug, FKA Twigs, BIGBANG, Clipse, Major Lazer, and Laufey across the night's full lineup. We'll have the full Sunday recap up tonight.
The Faith Moment That Stood Out
Amid all the spectacle, it was Justin Bieber's quiet closing moment on "Daisies" - a song about resilience and grace - that resonated most with fans of faith. Bieber, who has never shied away from talking about how his Christian faith rebuilt his life, ended his set not with fireworks or fanfare, but with stillness. That contrast said more than any production could.
Check back tonight for the full Karol G and Sunday recap.
