Amanda Jenkins, wife of Dallas Jenkins, endured a double mastectomy following a breast cancer diagnosis while the latest season of The Chosen was in production-an experience the family says has deepened their faith despite immense challenges.
Speaking on the "No Limbs No Limits" podcast hosted by Nick Vujicic, Dallas Jenkins opened up about what he described as a particularly difficult season for their family. Alongside Amanda's cancer battle, the couple has also been walking through their daughter's ongoing struggle with a chronic and painful illness that has persisted for eight years.
Jenkins shared that Amanda initially wrestled with hope for healing, especially in light of their daughter's long-term condition. Yet, over time, her perspective shifted. He explained that she has come to a place of gratitude, viewing her suffering not as meaningless but as something that has drawn her closer to God and given her insight she might not have gained otherwise.
During the conversation, Vujicic offered words of encouragement, emphasizing a central message of Christian hope: that even unhealed pain is not wasted. He pointed to the promise that God works all things together for good for those who love Him, framing suffering as a place where future glory can be revealed.
Jenkins first publicly disclosed Amanda's diagnosis during ChosenCon in February, with follow-up surgery taking place in March. The timing coincided with ongoing production demands for The Chosen, adding another layer of pressure to an already demanding season.
The Jenkins family is now asking for continued prayer-for Amanda's complete healing and for their daughter to experience relief and restoration. Their story stands as a testimony not only to perseverance but to a faith that continues to seek meaning and hope in the midst of suffering
