A court has ordered financial action against the ministry of televangelist Benny Hinn, requiring a bank to seize assets after the organization failed to pay a marketing company for services rendered.
According to a report by The Christian Post, the ruling stems from a lawsuit involving World Healing Center Church-operating as Benny Hinn Ministries-which was found liable for unpaid marketing and printing services provided in 2025.
A Texas judge ordered the ministry to pay $144,617.52 in damages, along with additional daily interest and legal fees. The services in question reportedly included large-scale printing and mass-mail marketing campaigns conducted between January and May of that year.
After the ministry failed to satisfy the judgment, the marketing company sought a writ of garnishment, a legal mechanism allowing creditors to collect debts directly from a debtor's bank account. In March, Frost Bank in San Antonio was served with the order, authorizing the seizure of approximately $159,615.85 plus interest and court costs.
This marks the second time in five years that courts have ruled against Hinn's ministry in similar disputes over unpaid services. A previous 2021 federal ruling required the organization to pay nearly $3 million to another communications company for overdue payments.
The case also highlights ongoing scrutiny surrounding the financial practices of the ministry. Reports have noted that Benny Hinn Ministries operates under a church designation, which allows it to avoid filing certain public financial disclosures typically required of nonprofit organizations.
While the ministry has not publicly commented on the latest ruling, the court's decision enables creditors to recover funds directly, escalating the consequences of the unpaid debt.
Hinn, known globally for his healing crusades and televangelism broadcasts, has long been a prominent and sometimes controversial figure within charismatic Christianity. The latest legal development adds to a complex financial and legal history surrounding his organization.
