According to CBN News, vandals defaced the memorial and crossed out the name of Jesus Christ while leaving behind a satanic message. The attack came as Kirk's family, friends, and supporters were remembering the first anniversary of his murder.
Erika did not remain silent. Instead, the grieving widow answered the vandalism with a bold declaration of faith.
"If you think crossing out the name of Jesus Christ will silence Christians, history has already proved you wrong," she said. "We know what it costs to stand firm for Christ and we will stand anyway. God will not be mocked."
