Jamie MacDonald is not slowing down. After scoring three consecutive No. 1 singles and making Christian music history with her debut album, the soulful singer will release Jamie MacDonald (The Deluxe Album) on October 16 through Capitol Christian Music Group.
The deluxe announcement arrives alongside "Used To Be," a smoky, soulful new song built around warm guitar and MacDonald's unmistakably gritty voice. Instead of hiding from the chapters that came before her success, MacDonald confronts anyone who thinks her past still defines her and challenges them to see the woman God has helped her become.
That message of transformation feels particularly personal for an artist whose testimony has become inseparable from her music. "Used To Be" is for anyone who has been judged by an outdated version of themselves-and anyone who needs reminding that failure, addiction, disappointment or regret does not have to write the final chapter.
The deluxe album expands a debut project that reportedly made history as the biggest streaming debut by a female Christian artist and the largest debut-album launch in Capitol CMG history. In just one year, MacDonald has amassed more than 253 million global streams, 179 million social-media views and 2.1 million monthly Spotify listeners. Amazon Music and Spotify have also named her an Artist to Watch.
Her extraordinary rise has been powered by three consecutive No. 1 songs. "Left It In The River" spent 12 consecutive weeks at No. 1 across three Christian radio charts, while "Desperate" reportedly set a Christian radio record for the largest number of stations playing the song on its impact date. "Ain't No Way" recently continued her winning streak by reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart.
The industry has certainly noticed. MacDonald heads into the 2026 GMA Dove Awards with four nominations: New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year. The latter two song nominations recognize "Left It In The River," the breakthrough anthem that turned her testimony into a radio phenomenon.
MacDonald is also preparing to take her rapidly expanding catalog back on the road. Following the sold-out Left It In The River Tour in February, she will launch an 18-date fall headlining tour on October 20 in Elk Grove, California. The run will conclude with her inaugural hometown headlining concert in Flint, Michigan-a show that has already sold out.
For a singer whose career has moved at breathtaking speed, "Used To Be" pauses long enough to look back. Yet MacDonald is not returning to her past to remain there. She is showing listeners how dramatically a life can change when shame loses its authority and redemption takes over the story.
