Foo Fighters New Album Updates and Guest Stars, Plus Newly Released Tour Dates, Foo Fighters is Making Musical History Again!
The Foo Fighters new album and the way they recorded their upcoming studio album, "Sonic Highways" is definitely making musical history. The album title itself even explains it all. Don't know what we are talking about? Well, for the past few months, The Foo Fighters have been travelling around America to record their songs in different studios. Not only that, they have also asked different artists to help them out and be featured in their songs. Not only is it cool, but it is also giving them a chance to branch out and collaborate with different artists who have distinct styles.
Take for example, Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie. He is one of the confirmed artists on the album. When the band went to Seattle to record a song, they called in Gibbard to join and record a song with them. Other artists who were featured in the album are Joe Walsh from The Eagles, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick.
Nate Mendel was interviewed about the album and he expressed that fans should be expecting something new from the band because they won't be doing their usual traditional style.
The band had also confirmed tour dates in South America, which will start on January 15, 2015. Their tour will start in Santiago, then to Buenos Aires, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro and finally in Bogota. The tour will, of course, feature most of the songs from the Sonic Highway album.
Check out all the great new Foo Fighter songs when they release their album on November 10.
